What Is Colour Therapy?
Colour is quite simply light and none of us can live without it. The cells of our body respond to it and to the lack of it and this has a direct effect on our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being. Colour also has a direct effect on our moods our personality and our behavior. There are seven colours of the spectrum and these are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. By subjecting ourselves to these different colours we can make dramatic changes in our health, our personality and our energy levels.
Colour Therapy, therefore involves treating a person with colour and this can be done in many different ways.
through the use of chromotherapy (shining colour filters and lamps on our body),
through solarizing water,
through breathing meditations,
through wearing different colours,
through colour baths,
colour glasses
crystals

Treating ourselves with colour can have an effect on the organs of the endocrine system which are the major organs of our body that control our sleep patterns, our appetites, our sex drive, and our moods and personality. Colour can also be used to treat the chakras which are our energy centers, and this helps increase our health and vitality, and relieve stress.

Colour Therapy is a holistic type of healing that can be used as a stand alone healing therapy, or can be combined with other healing modalities.
What is Sound Therapy?
Sound is something that resonates through our whole body and permeates our whole being. It is not just something we hear with our ears, but feel in every part of our body. If a sound is grating or uncomfortable it can jar our whole energy system and cause us unrest. However, gentle healing sounds can permeate our body and our energy system and bring peace, calm us down and release stress.
Sound can raise your consciousness and open your heart and promotes healing in both the physical body and the human energy field. Sound can be used to balance and clear the chakras (our energy centers) and can help us remove negativity and blocked energy. There are many ways to experience sound in our world such as listening to music, singing, drumming, tuning fork therapy and chanting and toning. Each of them has their own amazing healing abilities and can often be combined with other modalities.
Different forms of Sound Healing taught by Judy Ward, include Reiki Drumming, Tuning Fork Therapy, and Chanting and Toning (such as in Karuna Reiki, or simply by itself).
